Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is hiring a Nursing Assistant to join the 52B Orthopaedic/Surgical Unit. You will care for patients on a post-surgical unit, assist with bathing, feeding, vital signs, and mobility, and document care in the EMR.

The role requires night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with some weekends and holidays, and a baseline high school education with BLS certification. Ideal candidates have experience in acute care settings or military medical roles and will participate in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained upon hire or within the new hire period.

Responsibilities

• Prepare units, patient rooms and beds for admission or transfer.
• Provide and document assigned care (bathing, linens, dressing, back rubs).
• Take and document vital signs and measurements.
• Assist with pre- and post-operative care, mobilization and safe patient handling.
• Assist during admission, transfer, and discharge; respond to call lights promptly.
• Document patient care in the electronic medical record.
