Join Cleveland Clinic Akron General's 52B Orthopaedic/Surgical Unit as a Patient Care Nursing Assistant, supporting patients through the night shift (7:00pm–7:30am) and assisting with admission, transfer and discharge in a post-surgical setting focused on knee/hip replacement, shoulder and spinal procedures.

You'll perform bedside care, document vitals, assist with meals and mobility, and uphold safety and quality standards in EMR documentation while collaborating with a dedicated care team in a

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification upon hire or within the new-hire period.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.

Mansioni

• Prepare units, patient rooms and beds for admissions, returns and transfers.
• Provide and document care such as bathing, bed linen changes and dressing.
• Record vitals: temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure and height/weight.
• Perform procedures: venous blood draws, enema, oxygen setup, skin preps and Foley management.
• Assist with meals and hydration per physician orders.
• Aid pre-/post-operative care and ambulation with proper body mechanics.
• Assist during admission, transfer and discharge.
• Conduct hourly safety rounds and respond to call lights promptly.
• Document care in the electronic medical record.

Conoscenze

BLS Certification

Basic computer knowledge

Formazione

High School Diploma or GED

State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)

One year acute care experience / military medical experience (HM, 68W, 4N0X1)
