Job summary

Paterson, NJ-based St. Joseph's Health is hiring a Patient Care Associate for full-time day shifts in Med/Surg/Geriatric units.

You will assist patients with activities of daily living, support clinical staff, and help maintain a safe, clean environment while performing basic procedures under RN supervision. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within 6 months, and relevant PCA/PCT credentials or CNA certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification or equivalent training required.
• Candidate may be enrolled in nursing school with related coursework accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic care to acutely ill patients under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and assist with EKGs and venipuncture as directed.
