Job summary

St. Joseph’s Wayne Medical Center in Wayne, NJ is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Associate for a full-time day shift. The role supports patients with daily living activities and basic care for acutely ill individuals, while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

EKGs and venipuncture tasks are performed under RN direction. The ideal candidate holds a PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification, with BLS within 6 months and evidence of nursing coursework or related training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• PCA/PCT diploma or CNA certification or nursing program enrollment with relevant coursework.
• Evidence of Nursing Fundamentals coursework or Nursing Assistant training program completion.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic care to acutely ill patients.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Perform EKGs and venipuncture as directed by the RN.
