Job summary

Mercy Hospital Ada is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) or Nurse Tech for Med Surg on a part-time basis. Two 12-hour night shifts per week offer an opportunity to join a compassionate, team-oriented unit focused on patient wellness.

Under RN/LPN supervision, you will assist with individualized patient care, perform designated clinical and non-clinical tasks, and support a healing ministry through service. BLS and PCA competencies are required within set timeframes and safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, G.E.D, CNA/CPTC, or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum.
• Certifications: BLS required within one month of hire, completion of PCA competencies within 3 months of hire.
• Experience: None required.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN or LPN, assists in the individualized care of the patient.
• Performs designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to patient care.
• Works cooperatively with others as part of a team and recognizes the importance of group goals.
• Position requires lifting up to 50 lbs and prolonged standing during shifts.
