Job summary

The Christ Hospital seeks a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) III for the Comp Med Step Down unit on the Night shift to enhance patient comfort, safety, and care coordination in Cincinnati, OH. This role works under RN supervision and supports complex patient needs in a fast-paced setting.

The PCA III will perform delegated clinical tasks, mentor staff, contribute to onboarding, and participate in safety and quality initiatives while ensuring compassionate, world-class patient care.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in patient care or nursing support.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tasks as delegated by the RN, including EKGs, phlebotomy, ostomy care, and urine collection.
• Lead communication and collaboration to support patient care and unit operations.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, identify hazards, and implement solutions.
• Orient patients and families, communicate updates, and support care coordination.
