Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Patient Care Associate to provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or LPN. The role follows the CDC infection control guidelines and hospital plans for patient care.

Education includes a high school diploma; CNA certification is preferred and required upon hire for the SNF unit. BCLS must be completed; de-escalation training is required by orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nurse Assistant/Aide program preferred.
• CNA certification required upon hire for SNF unit.
• Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
• Must have de-escalation training completed by the end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care to patients according to a plan of care.
• Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or LPN.
• Adheres to infection control guidelines and hospital procedures.
• Follows plan of care and reports to RN/LPN for patient management.
• Exhibits professional etiquette and customer service in interactions with patients and families.
