Job summary

The Patient Care Associate position at Singing River Pascagoula Hospital provides basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, following predefined care plans and CDC infection control guidelines.

The role supports the care team and requires a High School diploma, completion of a Nurse Assistant/Aide program, and current CNA/BCLS certifications. Shifts include 7p-7a and the environment is fast-paced and patient-focused.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Nurse Assistant/Aide program preferred.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred; CNA certification required upon hire for SNF unit.
• Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire.
• Must complete de-escalation training by end of orientation (90 days).
• Equivalent related work experience or completion of a Nurse Aide program required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care according to predefined plan and under RN/LPN supervision.
• Follow CDC infection control guidelines and hospital care policies.
• Maintain plan of care established by RN or LPN and document accordingly.
