Qualifications
- Completion of an approved Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant training program.
- Certification as Medical Assistant or CNA license; Phlebotomy experience/credential valued.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with 6 months validity.
- 0–3 years of related experience typically expected.
- Must meet unit-specific skills and competencies and maintain required certifications/licensures.
Responsibilities
- Provides patient-focused care and education using appropriate equipment.
- Assists healthcare team with procedures; prepares supplies and equipment.
- Performs vitals, feeding, mobility, hygiene, and related tasks.
- Transports patients and cleans treatment areas between uses.
- Performs phlebotomy as assigned; maintains phlebotomy program competencies.
