Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant training program is required.
• Medical Assistant Certification OR Certified Nursing Assistant license, including Phlebotomy, is required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) with 6 months validity may be required at unit level.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-focused care and education under supervision.
• Support health care team with procedures and equipment setup.
• Assist with patient positioning, transportation, and room turnover.
• Perform phlebotomy as assigned and ensure proper labeling and specimen handling.
• Follow infection control policies and maintain unit competency requirements.
• Schedule referrals/appointments and assist with clerical duties as needed.
