Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Newton-Wellesley Hospital is recruiting for a Nursing Assistant. Under RN supervision, you will assist in clinical support functions to promote safe, compassionate patient care in a busy hospital setting on a 24-hour day/evening schedule with three 8-hour shifts.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent; BLS/CPR and healthcare experience. Preferred: LNA certification. Strong multitasking, communication, and physical strength are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• LNA certification preferred.
• Healthcare experience 1–2 years required.
• Ability to multitask and handle stress effectively.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
• Typing skills and computer experience required.
• Good interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and transport patients safely according to Safe Patient Handling Guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.
• Work under the direction of a registered/licensed nurse (RN).
• Contribute to interdisciplinary health care team activities.
• Follow Safe Patient Handling Guidelines for patient movement.
• Perform general patient care tasks as assigned by RN.
