Job summary

Temple-Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for MRICU night shift (11pm-7:30am) in Philadelphia. You will assist with direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, support daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and respond to emergencies in a high-acuity unit.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; nursing assistant/medical assistant training or clinical rotation is preferred, with 1 year of patient care experience preferred and BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a patient care role preferred.
• Basic Life Support required; Certified Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
• Implements components of the plan of care based on physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Provides comfort, safety and emergency measures; assists with activities of daily living.
• Monitors vital signs, performs ECGs, and capillary blood glucose as needed.
• Observes equipment, reports treatment results and changes in patient condition; supports confidentiality and Customer Service Program.
