Temple-Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the MRICU on a part-time Day Shift (7a-3:30p). The role includes direct and indirect patient care under RN guidance, vital signs, ECGs, and helping with daily living activities in a fast-paced unit.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent; Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training or clinical rotation is preferred; Basic Life Support is required. 1 year of patient care experience is preferred.

Formación

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program, or clinical rotation in accredited nursing program, preferred.
• 1 year experience in patient care preferred.
• Basic Life Support required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
• Implement components of the plan of care addressing physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living: personal care, nutrition and elimination needs.
• Measure vital signs, perform ECGs, and capillary blood glucose as needed.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition and equipment function; uphold confidentiality and customer service standards.
