Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the 5A Medical Surgical unit on the 24HR Evening Shift (3pm-11:30pm). You will support direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and respond to emergencies as part of a patient-centered care team.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, with nursing assistant or medical assistant training preferred, and Basic Life

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant Program or completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the Registered Nurse.
• Implements components of the plan of care based on physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
• Provides comfort, safety and emergency measures; assists with activities of daily living and nutrition/elimination needs.
