Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital, a 131-bed community hospital in Philadelphia, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (CNA) to support nursing staff and care for patients during night shifts.

You will assist with activities of daily living, maintain a safe environment, and collaborate with Registered Nurses on the unit. A CNA certification is required; phlebotomy/ECG certifications and BLS are preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires CNA certification and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy and EKG certifications are preferred upon hire.
• BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and ongoing.
• Experience in an acute care setting or physician's office is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment on the unit.
• Document patient care activities and report changes to the RN.
