Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital serving the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and northwest Philadelphia communities. The Patient Care Assistant provides daily living assistance and basic nursing care under RN supervision during night shifts.

Eligible candidates include those with CNA certification and BLS, plus preferred phlebotomy/EKG credentials and at least six months in acute care or a physician’s office setting.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
