Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support daily living activities and basic nursing care under the RN in charge. You will work as a floater, rotating nights, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with holidays and weekends on rotation.

The role requires a CNA certification (State approved) and BLS within 30 days of hire, with knowledge of medical terminology. Prior acute care experience preferred. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Current phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Current EKG certification preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.
