Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (CNA) for night shifts 7pm–7:30am with rotating holidays and weekends. Under RN supervision, you will assist patients with daily living activities and maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications include Illinois CNA certification, High School diploma, BLS within 30 days, and 6 months’ acute care experience; phlebotomy and EKG certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Illinois CNA certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, hire-on.
• EKG certification preferred, hire-on.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum six months acute care hospital or physician’s office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment on the unit.
