Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (CNA) to support daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under RN supervision. The role is a night shift with rotating holidays and weekends, located in the Medical Surgical Telemetry department.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, Illinois CNA certification, and BLS. Phlebotomy and EKG certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Illinois approved Certification required.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care.
• Maintains a safe environment under the direction of the RN in charge.
• Supports the team in delivering patient-centered care.
