Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (CNA) to support patients with daily living activities, provide basic nursing care, and help maintain a safe environment under the RN in charge.

This full-time, days shift (12-hour) requires a High School diploma, a CNA certification, phlebotomy and EKG certifications preferred, and current BLS. Prior acute care experience is preferred; compensation ranges from $18.00 to $26.68 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Illinois-approved CNA certification required.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care.
• Maintain a safe environment under the direction of the RN in charge.
