Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support patients with daily living activities and provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This full-time night shift covers 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with rotating holidays.

Candidates should have CNA certification or be willing to obtain; phlebotomy and EKG certifications are preferred, along with BLS within 30 days. Acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
