Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for night shifts (7pm–7:30am) with rotating holidays and weekends. You will assist patients with ADLs, provide basic nursing care, and help maintain a safe environment under the supervision of the RN in charge.

Required: High School Diploma, CNA certification (Illinois approved), phlebotomy/EKG certifications preferred, and BLS within 30 days. Prior acute care or physician office experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification (Illinois approved) required.
• Phlebotomy certification upon hire preferred.
• EKG certification upon hire preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months prior acute care hospital or physician’s office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Provide basic nursing care to patients.
