Job summary

Scripps Green Hospital, located in Torrey Pines, San Diego, seeks a patient care assistant for night shift coverage in a fast-paced 40-bed unit. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, accurate EPIC documentation, and patient safety.

May float within Scripps Green Hospital to start of shift preparation. Ideal candidates have CNA training or RN program progression and English proficiency, with AHA BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience under the license of a healthcare provider OR current enrollment/completion of Nursing Assistant training.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Providers preferred / required as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service as a key member of the clinical care team.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and data collection.
• Support patient care under clinician direction and ensure patient safety.
• Assist with unit logistics, clerical tasks, equipment, supplies, and charge reconciliation.
