Job summary

Join Team Tidelands and help people live better lives through better health as a Nursing Assistant (Non-Certified) in our acute hospital setting. This role supports patient care under RN supervision and involves transporting patients and assisting with delegated nursing tasks.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with state-approved NA training and at least two years in healthcare, plus BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with state-approved Nursing Assistant training.
• Two (2) years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with basic patient care including nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility and safety.
• Transports and transfers patients using appropriate equipment with safety precautions.
• Assists nursing staff with lifting and ambulating patients per guidelines.
• Maintains environment and equipment; delivers equipment to Central Service and Maintenance.
• Communicates and documents information accurately with the health care team.
• Supports quality improvement activities and participates in unit meetings.
