Qualifications

• Must have health care experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as first point of contact for transfer, admission, and consultation requests; routes to the appropriate clinician or team.
• Collects and verifies demographic, referral, and operational data to initiate transfer workflows.
• Manages multi-line phone activity to support timely patient transitions and EMTALA-sensitive processes.
• Documents call details in electronic health records and transfer management systems with accuracy.
• Routes information to the appropriate Patient Logistics Clinician, RN, Charge RN, or operations partner per protocol.
• Escalates red flags or special circumstances immediately to ensure safe patient movement.
• Coordinates non-clinical transport logistics, including EMS contact, availability, and ETA updates.
