Job summary

IHA in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative for the night shift to greet patients, verify information, and register them for service onsite at the Mother/Baby Jefferson Ave location.

Responsibilities include collecting signatures, processing orders, verifying insurance benefits, and routing cases to financial counseling when needed; training is provided during the first two weeks.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience required.
• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify demographic, clinical and insurance information during registration.
• Enter patient data into the patient accounting system and collect necessary signatures.
• Process physician orders, verify insurance benefits and coordinate with financial counseling as needed.
• Provide escort/directional support and assist with patient flow in the registration area.
