Job summary

Freeman Health System is hiring a Patient Registration Clerk to welcome patients and register them for services at night. You will conduct interviews, collect forms, obtain signatures, and begin financial counseling processes.

Responsibilities include verifying insurance at the point of service, calculating patient estimates, and collecting payments while serving as the primary contact for initial communications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or completion of two years of college-level classes.
• Minimum of 6 months customer service required.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
• Preferred: medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Register patients presenting to Freeman Health System.
• Conduct patient interviews to obtain information and signatures.
• Initiate financial counseling and collect monies owed.
• Verify insurance at point of service and calculate patient estimates.
