The Buttery Norristown is seeking an Overnight Pastry Baker to lead our viennoiserie and pastry program through the night. You will prep, proof, and bake with precision to ensure morning service readiness and consistent quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ year of professional baking experience, preferably in bread, viennoiserie, or pastry production.
• Strong understanding of baking processes, including proofing, fermentation, and lamination (preferred but not required).
• Ability to manage time effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A team-oriented mindset and willingness to take direction.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Bake with Precision: Prepare, proof, and bake pastries and viennoiseries according to recipes and production schedules.
• Stay on Schedule: Manage time effectively to ensure all baked goods are ready for delivery without compromising quality.
• Maintain High Standards: Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all products.
• Keep It Clean & Safe: Operate baking equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace.
• Work as a Team: Collaborate with fellow bakers and kitchen staff to meet daily production goals smoothly.
