Job summary

Dead End Bakehouse in Ocean City, NJ, is seeking a reliable Baker to manage overnight production and ensure the case is fully stocked before doors open.

You will mix, proof, and bake breads, pastries, and other baked goods according to our recipes and standards while preparing doughs ahead of the morning rush.

This night shift requires staying on your feet in a fast-paced environment, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with the morning team to keep inventory and quality consistent.

Qualifications

• Overnight baking experience preferred; experience in high-volume environments a plus.
• Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in product quality.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Mix, proof, and bake breads, pastries, and other baked goods.
• Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and toppings ahead of the morning rush.
• Monitor ovens and timers to keep quality consistent.
• Maintain cleanliness and health-code compliance in the kitchen.
• Label, date, and rotate products to minimize waste.
• Communicate inventory and special orders with the morning team.
