Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Longmont, CO to monitor and patrole the site, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to staff and visitors.

You will perform access control, report writing, and respond to emergencies while adhering to site procedures and safety guidelines. A background check, drug screen, and high school diploma are required, with driving positions needing a valid license.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or other security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate site personnel and emergency responders per procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related communications.
