Tower Health Reading Hospital in Reading, PA is seeking an Experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Night Shift Emergency team. The role supports a busy, Level I trauma and comprehensive stroke center ED with a large, experienced staff.

The Advanced Practitioner will work closely with physicians, coordinate care, manage medications, order tests, and document patient charts. Reading Hospital offers robust benefits and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• Master's Degree as required educational credential.
• Active PA licensure and national certification per Emergency Department practitioner roles.

Responsabilités

• The Advanced Practitioner shall assist the Emergency Medicine physicians in evaluating and treating patients in the main Emergency Department and Pediatric Emergency Department.
• The Advanced Practitioner functions as a primary health care provider with the responsibility of managing health related problems and conditions.
• The APP serves as a clinical leader and works closely with the physicians in managing patients, administration of medication, order necessary labs or tests, prescriptions and appropriate documentation of patient charts.
• Works within specific department with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals in coordinating and delivering patient care and facilitating communication between the patient and family members, the nursing team and the medical staff functioning as a clinical expert in the area, program or department assigned.
