Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Paramedic for the Emergency Department. The position requires a Georgia Paramedic license or National Registry, 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred, and BLS certification.

ALS/ACLS and PALS are required for ED, with 6 months to obtain initial PALS certification for new to specialty hires. Responsibilities include age-appropriate, culturally sensitive patient care, maintaining a safe environment, and collaboration with nurses and physicians

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School Diploma or Equivalent (≤140 chars).
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1 year as Paramedic preferred (≤140 chars).
• MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Georgia Paramedic, National Registry preferred; BLS Certification.
• ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: ALS/ACLS and PALS required for ED; new to specialty have 6 months to obtain PALS.

• Utilize age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care; educate patients and families.
• Maintain a safe environment and effective communication; assist in care delivery.
• Collaborate with RN/Physician in assessment, planning, and evaluation of care.
