Job summary

FirstHealth of Carolina's Emergency Medical Services team seeks an ER Technician who provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Room under supervision of the ER Charge Nurse and ER Physician, following established standards of practice.

The role requires current NC EMS certification as Paramedic or Advanced EMT, at least one year of related experience, and BLS; ACLS and PALS may be obtained within six months of employment.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina EMS certification/licensure for Paramedic or Advanced EMT required.
• At least one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• AHA Advanced Life Support (ACLS) may be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be obtained within 6 months of employment

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care according to EMS protocols.
• Works under supervision of the ER Charge Nurse and the ER Physician.
• Maintains required certifications through continuing education and recertification processes.
