Job summary

Parkland Health is seeking a licensed RN to join the night shift in a Part Time role with benefits. The nurse will coordinate post-anesthesia care, patient education, and hand-offs across the PACU/Phase I & II units.

Must maintain competency per state practice acts and support a high-quality standard of care. The ideal candidate holds a current RN license, BLS, and ALS/ACLS, with PACU/ICU/ED experience, and can serve as a preceptor while delivering patient-centered care within a

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum two years PACU/ICU/ED experience.
• RN license (TX Board of Nursing or compact) and BLS certification.
• ALS or ACLS certification on hire.
• PALS or ENPC certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care in post-anesthesia settings (Phase I/II) and extended recovery.
• Serve as a patient advocate and coordinate with health care team.
• Demonstrate leadership and preceptorship to new staff; delegate appropriately.
• Maintain documentation and ensure discharge readiness per protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement and compliance with policies.
