Utz Quality Foods, LLC is hiring Packers/ Quality Assurance Techs for our Hanover, PA facility on a weekend night shift (Friday through Sunday, 5:55 PM–5:55 AM). Join a team focused on quality, safety, and efficient packaging in a fast-paced production environment.

You'll inspect packed items, verify codes, seals, and dates, and assist as back-up QA tech. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, adherence to GMPs, OSHA, and FDA standards, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Learn routine quality assurance testing; product sample collection; physical property testing; sensory evaluation; and various lab techniques to support and assist as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
• Works in a safe manner at all times and communicates any safety issues to supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Inspects packaged items and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor of any defects.
• Verifies code, dates, and price.
• Examines package for proper seal.
• Reports any and all conditions that could lead to contaminated product.
• Packs product into cartons, cans and specialty containers and places them onto skids/conveyors.
• Prepares items for production (cans/labels/trays/rework items).
• Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment at all times following OSHA, FDA and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Assists as back-up Quality Assurance Technician as needed.
