Job summary

Altium Packaging in Verona, PA is seeking an entry-level Production Packaging Associate to ensure proper packaging of materials and finished products. You will load, move materials and operate packaging equipment while following GMP guidelines.

Shift is 12hr-C Night Shift (7PM - 7:30AM) with a 2-2-3 rotation. Starting rate is $18.25 per hour, with overtime as required. Training includes completion of Altium Production/Packaging Associate I within 90 days of hire date.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Basic computer experience expected.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies.
• Demonstrates punctuality and adheres to work schedule.
• Demonstrates a teamwork attitude by working well with others.
• Adheres to company General Manufacturing Policies.
• Keeps the work area neat, clean, and organized.
• Monitors conveyor belts and clears bottle jams from lines.
• Picks up dropped bottles and places them into designated bins.
• Places discarded bottles into grinder as applicable.
• Inspects bottle quality during production, packaging, and labeling.
• Performs bottle inspections, such as drop tests for designated lines.
• Escalates bottle abnormalities, defects and quality issues when found.
• Monitors supply levels of packaging materials and replenishes as needed.
• Ensures correct labeling, bottle description and packaging per customer requirements.
• Moves finished goods to designated area.
• Ensures efficient setup and organization of workstations; maintains inventory levels and restocks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Duties may differ by plant based on equipment and plant design.
• Overtime may be required due to business needs.
