Job summary
A global eye health company in Greenville, SC, seeks a Packaging Operator to set-up and operate various packaging equipment per Standard Operating Procedures. Candidates should have at least one year of manufacturing experience and a high school diploma. Strong reading, math comprehension, and communication skills are essential. The hourly pay starts at $19 plus a $1 shift differential. Training may require a 1st shift schedule for up to 3 months.
Qualifications
Minimum one year manufacturing experience, preferably in a packaging operation.
Two or four-year degree, or manufacturing certification is preferred.
Basic computer skills, including MS Outlook and Excel.
Responsibilities
Set-up and operate packaging equipment according to SOP and GMP.
Perform line clearances, changeovers and document inspections.
Maintain steady supply of components in each machine.
Skills
Strong reading and math comprehension
Good communication skills (written & verbal)
Ability to be an effective member of a team
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize work and make informed decisions
Basic computer skills (i.e. MS Outlook, Excel)
PLC machine/equipment experience
Education
