Job summary

Campbell's in Salem, VA is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to help deliver high-quality snacks. You will safely operate packaging equipment, monitor speeds, perform changeovers, and support sanitation and safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to lift 40+ pounds. Shift is 3rd, 9pm-5am, with pay around $20.45 per hour plus comprehensive benefits including health, dental, 401(k) and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to safely operate production and packaging equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn setups and troubleshooting.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read schedules and follow instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Packaging Equipment Operations: safely operate and monitor snack packaging machinery to ensure continuous production.
• Review production schedules and prepare equipment and materials to meet requirements.
• Maintain packaging equipment by verifying codes, dates, and packaging specs.
• Plan and execute efficient product changeovers to minimize downtime.
• Monitor machine performance and ensure packaging speeds meet standards.
• Follow safety, food safety, and sanitation standards.
