Job summary

Altium Packaging in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Production Packaging Lead Associate to apply intensive knowledge of proper packaging for materials and finished products. The role also loads and moves material and operates packaging equipment, following Good Manufacturing Practices.

This position may require mentoring new employees and leading on-shift packaging tasks. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration across departments, with potential overtime based on business needs

Qualifications

• Advanced mathematical skills required.
• Advanced computer experience.
• Three plus years’ equivalent experience to include training/facilitating.

Responsibilities

• Relieve the bagger and the palletizer operator as needed.
• Operate and understand robot and complete changeovers where applicable.
• Support quality activities and stand in for the quality lead when unavailable.
• Demonstrate co-ownership in plant safety, quality and morale through committees and shift activities.
• Lead packing on the shift and mentor new employees on safety and quality.
• Coordinate lunch breaks and assists across all lines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
