Job summary

Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is seeking a patient-focused Physician Assistant for a dedicated night-shift role in the Emergency Department. The position involves care across the ED, including a dedicated 11-bed emergency psychiatric unit and triage responsibilities.

New graduates are not being considered; Emergency Medicine experience is preferred and psychiatric experience is highly valued. The PA will collaborate closely with physicians, crisis clinicians, nurses, and the broader care team.

Qualifications

• Completion of a physician assistant program accredited by ARC-PA.
• NCCPA certification.
• Current Minnesota license; ability to obtain Wisconsin licensure upon hire.
• ACLS/BLS/ATLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including evaluation and treatment planning.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies and perform ED procedures within scope.
• Collaborate with Emergency Medicine physicians, crisis clinicians, nursing staff and care team.
• Night-shift responsibilities in a mixed ED/psychiatric unit setting.
