Job summary

RHSC in St. Paul, MN is seeking a physician assistant to join the Emergency Department team in a dedicated night-shift position. You will provide direct patient care in the ED and an 11-bed emergency psychiatric unit, collaborating with emergency physicians, crisis clinicians, and nurses.

New graduates are not being considered. Emergency Medicine experience is preferred and psychiatric experience is highly valued. The role includes triage duties and a 0.8 FTE night schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
• Current Minnesota license to practice as a PA.
• Ability to obtain Wisconsin licensure upon hire.
• NCCPA certification is required.
• ACLS/BLS/ATLS certifications are required.
• PALS recommended but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies and perform procedures within scope.
• Collaborate with Emergency Medicine physicians, crisis clinicians, and nursing staff.
• Work in a mix of ED and 11-bed emergency psychiatric unit; participate in triage.
• Night-shift position with 0.8 FTE schedule.
