Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Orthopedic unit. The role includes a night shift with part‑time scheduling and competitive pay.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and revise individualized care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, active RN license, BLS, and 1+ year

Qualifications

• RN license required
• BLS required
• 1+ year acute care experience preferred
• Additional certifications may be required depending on the unit

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients and factors affecting care
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and update as needed
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor for adverse effects
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to optimize patient care
