Qualifikationen

• RN license in state of practice (required)
• BCLS certification (required)
• CN-ORTHO (preferred)
• Minimum 2+ years in orthopedic/surgical/inpatient acute care
• Experience in patient care coordination or clinical education (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; Master’s degree preferred

Aufgaben

• Coordinate patient care delivery in the orthopedic unit and liaison between patients, providers, and teams.
• Assist with pre-operative education and discharge planning for orthopedic patients.
• Conduct rounds to ensure timely interventions and promote recovery.
• Support pain management, mobility planning, and therapy coordination post-operatively.
• Serve as a clinical resource for orthopedic nursing staff and promote care protocols.
• Facilitate communication among providers, therapy, case management, and staff.
• Participate in performance improvement related to patient safety and orthopedic outcomes.
• Educate staff, patients, and families on orthopedic procedures, rehabilitation, and self-care.
• Ensure accurate EMR documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Assist onboarding and mentoring of orthopedic nurses.
