Job summary

UMC Health System in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the GTSCU unit on a full-time day shift. The role involves assessing, planning, and delivering comprehensive nursing care while coordinating with other shifts for seamless patient care.

The ideal candidate will have graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of RN experience; BSN is required or must be pursued within 3 years of hire. Med-surg certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License.
• Must maintain a current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required.
• BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• Med-surg certification preferred and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Registered professional nurse who assesses, implements or delegates, plans, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy, providing and directing patient care for a group of patients.
• Relates effectively with other shifts/departments for optimal continuity of care.
