Job summary

Regions Hospital seeks an Operating Engineer to join our team. The role focuses 85% on building maintenance and 15% on operating procedures for boilers, chillers and related equipment across the campus, with responsibilities for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

The position includes 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week), night shift, and requires a Minnesota 1st Class B license (or progression toward it) plus a valid driver’s license. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience qualifying for 1st class B engineer license or completion of approved apprenticeship.
• Must possess a First Class 'B' Minnesota State Engineers license (minimum).
• Must possess a valid Minnesota State Driver's license.
• Second Class license minimum with plan to upgrade to 1st class within 3 years.
• 2nd class A or B license requires 1st class within three years to maintain employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC and related equipment across campus.
• Perform building maintenance and execute operating procedures for high pressure boilers.
• Repair/rebuild electrical, mechanical, plumbing and controls systems.
• Respond to trouble calls and perform related duties as assigned.
