Job summary

You will help with bathing, grooming, mobility, meals, and safety, while respecting residents’ rights and privacy, and coordinating with the care team to deliver compassionate service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year related experience.
• Must have ability to drive a vehicle with valid license; provide proof of liability insurance; eligible to be insured under Buckner's policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance in the home setting for activities of daily living.
• Assist with oral/dental care, bathing, grooming, toileting, and showering while ensuring privacy and safety.
• Assist with range of motion exercises and accompany ambulation as directed.
• Assist in meal preparation and encourage independence; monitor appetite and dietary planning.
• Respect client rights; knock before entering, address by name and title.
• Encourage client independence and decision-making.
• Respect property of facility, staff, clients and guests.
• Report grievances and complaints promptly.
• Follow universal precautions policy at all times.
• Perform routine housekeeping for clients.
• Assist clients to and from scheduled activities and encourage participation.

Education
