Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services Community in San Angelo, TX is hiring a Resident Care Assistant to provide in-home-like care to residents in our community. You will support activities of daily living and maintain high standards of care and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Possess a High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in direct care or home care is not required but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal assistance in the home setting to help with activities of daily living.
• Assist with oral/dental care, bathing, grooming, toileting, and/or showering while ensuring privacy and safety.
• Assist with simple range-of-motion exercises and ambulation as directed.
• Assist in meal preparation and encourage independence in dietary planning.
• Respect clients' rights, knock before entering, address clients appropriately, and treat them with dignity.
• Encourage client independence and decision-making when appropriate.
• Respect facility property; report grievances promptly.
• Follow universal precautions and maintain safety at all times.
• Perform routine housekeeping for clients.
• Assist clients to and from activities and encourage participation.
