Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Night Shift One-to-One Observer to provide constant 1:1 patient observation, ensure a safe environment, and communicate status changes to the RN. The role supports the healthcare team and upholds professional ethics in a hospital setting.

Requires a High School diploma or GED and completion of an Observer course. The position is on-site, full-time, with an hourly rate of $18.00–$21.33 and full benefits for eligible colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.
• High School diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
