Job summary

The One to One Observer at Virtua Health provides constant onetoone observation of a patient in a calm, safe environment and communicates changes to the care team. The role supports the patient and family, and collaborates with nurses to maintain high standards of care.

This full-time night shift position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and completion of the observer course or equivalent. Benefits accompany regular employment.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• Successful completion of Observer course or equivalent is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provides constant one-to-one observation of assigned patient which includes providing a safe environment and positive interaction in a calm environment.
• Provides restraint care to patients in restraints.
• Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately.
• Assists in orientation of healthcare team.
• Other duties as assigned.
