Job summary

PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, Oregon is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Oncology on the Night Shift. This full-time 0.90 FTE role offers an hourly pay range and the chance to provide compassionate, relationship-centered care to oncology patients during a critical time.

You will support daily care, assist with movement, monitor vitals, and document care while collaborating with nurses.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon CNA certification.
• BLS certification upon hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Knowledge of age-specific patient care principles.

Responsibilities

• Support patients with daily care needs (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, meals, hydration).
• Help patients move, walk, exercise, and get in and out of bed.
• Monitor and record vital signs and other patient information.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
• Assist with treatments within the CNA scope of practice.
• Document intake, output, and other care activities.
• Keep patient rooms stocked and organized for care teams.
• Provide emotional support and compassionate interaction with patients and families.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Assist with clerical and unit tasks (phones, orders, chart activities).
• Perform other duties supporting patient care and unit operations.
